The Desjoyaux Difference
In 1978, Desjoyaux Pools introduced the innovative active casing wall structure. The wall forms, crafted from recycled plastic, can be tailored to create pools of any size or shape. These casings, when filled with concrete and combined with the floor, result in a robust and fully customizable monolithic concrete structure. Our polypropylene wall forms are an exemplary form of recycling as they are made from recycled plastics and are buried in the ground, minimizing their ecological impact. These wall panels are produced at our factory in the picturesque Loire River valley in southern France and assembled at our US facility in Acworth, GA.
Our Building Process
01
The first step is to outline the pool in the desired location and then excavate it to the required shape and depth.
02
The support blocks and walls are placed according to the plan. Rebar and welded mesh are tied together to reinforce the walls and floors.
03
Pouring of the basin walls and floors are done all at the same time to form a monolithic and self-supporting structure. The pool bottom is worked until it is very smooth.
04
Once the concrete has dried, the pool can be backfilled and rough electrical conduits laid in.
05
Next, the coping and decking are installed.
06
Finally, the membrane is custom welded into the pool. The pump and lights are wired by a licensed electrician and the pool is ready for swimming.
